Unlike a basic touch panel, the Apprimo Touch 8i incorporates a built-in Biamp Impera controller capable of controlling up to 20 IP-based devices, reducing the need for a separate control processor in many applications.Users can control functions such as display power, source selection, volume, audio mute, lighting, video conferencing equipment and other compatible IP-connected AV devices from a single central interface.The Apprimo Touch 8i is designed to provide a modern and responsive room-control experience while simplifying professional installation. Built-in PIR proximity sensors automatically wake the screen when a user approaches, while ambient-light sensing can automatically adjust display brightness according to room conditions. The unit is powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) and can operate through a single CAT5e or CAT6 network cable, reducing separate power and control cabling around the meeting table or wall location.
