CoreStation 20

The Suprema CoreStation 20 (CS-20) is a next-generation 2-door centralized access controller designed for corporate offices, commercial buildings, data centres, educational facilities and enterprise security environments requiring reliable RFID-based access control. It supports up to 500,000 users, 500,000 card credentials, 500,000 PIN credentials and 5 million event logs, providing the capacity needed for both medium and large deployments. CoreStation 20 integrates with Suprema’s access-control management platform for centralized user, credential, door and event administration. The controller supports Ethernet networking, three RS-485 channels with OSDP V2 compliance, two Wiegand channels, four relay outputs, six configurable/supervised inputs, six outputs and dedicated auxiliary inputs for AC power failure, tamper and fire-alarm integration. Unlike the biometric-focused CoreStation CS-40, the CoreStation 20 is primarily optimized for RFID and PIN-based access control, helping reduce complexity and cost where centralized biometric matching is not required.For scalable installations, the CoreStation 20 can connect compatible Suprema RFID readers and access-control modules through RS-485/OSDP, while its architecture can be expanded using the Suprema DI-24 Door Interface. Suprema documents that a single CS-20 system can connect up to 16 DI-24 modules, providing a theoretical maximum of 68 readers and 34 doors when fully expanded under the specified two-reader-per-door configuration. The controller also provides integrated power outputs for connected readers and locks, helping simplify panel design and installation. For projects requiring network-powered deployment, the CS-20P variant adds IEEE 802.3at PoE+ support as well as a SAM slot for enhanced secure-card applications; these capabilities are not included on the standard CS-20 model.
