CP4N

The Crestron CP4N is a high-performance 4-Series™ rack-mount control processor designed for sophisticated boardrooms, conference facilities, command centres, smart offices and enterprise AV automation environments. Built around Crestron’s multicore 4-Series architecture, the CP4N delivers significantly greater processing capability than earlier-generation control platforms and can support up to 10 programs running simultaneously, making it suitable for complex multi-room and multi-system applications. It provides 2 GB SDRAM and 8 GB flash memory, together with extensive onboard control connectivity including 8 relay outputs, 8 configurable Versiport I/O connections, 8 IR/serial outputs, three bidirectional COM ports, Cresnet, USB and Gigabit Ethernet. These interfaces allow the CP4N to centrally manage displays, projectors, matrix switchers, DSPs, cameras, lighting systems, motorised shades, HVAC interfaces and many other Crestron or third-party devices.A defining feature of the CP4N is its dedicated Gigabit Control Subnet, which creates an isolated local network specifically for Crestron devices and incorporates DHCP, DNS, port forwarding and isolation capabilities. The CP4N supports enterprise technologies including IEEE 802.1X authentication, TLS/SSL, SSH, SNMP, Active Directory authentication, IPv4/IPv6 and FIPS 140-2 compliant encryption, while native BACnet/IP capability enables integration with building-management applications.
