The HIKVISION DS-KH8380-WTE1 8 Series Indoor Station is a professional IP video-intercom monitor designed for villas, apartments, residential towers, hotels, offices, and commercial buildings. It uses an embedded Linux operating system and features a 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 1024 × 600 resolution, H.264/H.265 video decoding, built-in omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker, adjustable volume, noise suppression, and echo cancellation for clear two-way communication. Connectivity includes 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, SIP, and RTSP, while Hik-Connect allows users to receive visitor calls, view entrances, and remotely release doors from supported mobile devices. The station can link with up to 16 network cameras and 16 indoor extensions, supports elevator access control, and provides 8 alarm inputs, RS-485, TF card storage, four relay/lock-control outputs, and auxiliary 12 VDC power output. It supports IEEE 802.3at PoE or 12 VDC power, making it suitable for centralized IP intercom installations. The related models allow the system to be selected according to networking, mounting, and finish requirements. DS-KH8380-TE1 uses the same 7-inch 1024 × 600 TFT touchscreen but is the wired version; Hikvision’s firmware comparison shows that it does not include Wi-Fi, while the DS-KH8380-WTE1 adds 802.11 b/g/n wireless networking together with RS-485, relay outputs, and auxiliary power capabilities. The DS-KH8380-WTE1/Flush retains the WTE1 feature set and supports surface, flush, and compatible table-mount installations, together with Hik-Connect, up to 16 extensions, elevator control, alarm inputs, RS-485, relays, and TF-card storage. For a more premium finish, DS-KH8381-WTE1 upgrades the display to a 7-inch IPS touchscreen and uses a die-cast integrated aluminum-alloy casing, while adding a dedicated physical door-release button; it otherwise retains Wi-Fi, Hik-Connect, IEEE 802.3at PoE, 16-extension capability, elevator access control, RS-485, alarm inputs, relays, and TF storage. The DS-KH8381-WTE1/Flush provides the same premium IPS/metal architecture in a flush-mount configuration and supports up to 128 GB TF storage, four lock-control relays, 12 VDC auxiliary power output, RS-485, PoE, and 12 VDC input.
