MAGNETIC Articulated boom

The MAGNETIC Articulated Boom is a specialized folding barrier-boom solution designed for vehicle entrances where the available ceiling height is too low for a conventional rigid boom, making it particularly suitable for underground parking, multi-storey car parks, hotel basements, commercial buildings and residential parking facilities. MAGNETIC offers the articulated boom for compatible Access, Access-L, Access Pro, Access Pro-L and Parking Pro barrier systems, with configurations supporting maximum lane widths of approximately 3.5 m or 4.5 m and maximum clearance heights of approximately 2.5 m or 3.5 m, depending on the selected version. As the barrier opens, the articulated joint allows the outer section of the boom to fold rather than requiring the full boom length to swing vertically, substantially reducing the overhead space required. MAGNETIC states that the design is intended for heavily frequented parking facilities and places particular emphasis on minimizing crushing and shearing points around pedestrian areas. The articulated system is available as KBS and KBB kits. With KBS, the boom is supplied already cut and machined to the required dimensions, with the hinge and push-rod holder installed and the barrier housing prepared for the push rod, reducing fabrication work during installation. With KBB, the installer receives the articulated-boom kit but must cut the boom to the required dimensions, install the hinge and drill the barrier housing on site. The articulated boom can also be equipped with LED light strips or individual LED lights, improving barrier visibility at garage entrances and in low-light areas. When used with Parking Pro, the overall barrier platform provides MAGNETIC’s MHTM™ drive, approximately 1.3-second operation, 100% duty cycle, IP54 enclosure protection, an integrated two-channel induction-loop detector and modular MGC Pro control architecture, while the articulated boom remains an available option for height-restricted applications.
