The Paxton PaxLock Pro is an intelligent wireless electronic door handle with integrated access-control functionality, designed for offices, hotels, educational facilities, staff areas and commercial buildings where organisations want secure door access without extensive cabling. It can operate as a standalone access-control device or as part of Paxton Net2 and Paxton10 networked systems, providing a flexible upgrade path as security requirements grow. PaxLock Pro supports multiple credential technologies including Paxton tokens, MIFARE®, DESFire®, EM and HID® Prox on supported configurations, while Paxton10 deployments can also use Bluetooth smart credentials. The product is compatible with DIN standard locks, and selected versions are IK10 impact rated, EN179 certified for emergency exits and FD30/FD60 certified for suitable fire-door installations, making it suitable for demanding professional environments. A major advantage of PaxLock Pro is that it delivers networked access control without requiring data and power cabling to every door. In a Net2 system, PaxLock communicates securely with the Net2 server through a Net2Air Bridge, while Paxton10 installations use a Paxton10 Wireless Connector and Bluetooth frequency-hopping technology. The system can therefore provide central credential management and access-control administration while retaining the convenience of a battery-powered wireless door handle. Depending on the variant and operating mode, PaxLock Pro can support up to 10,000 users, approximately 16,000 stored events, AES128 wireless encryption and around 55,000 operations from four AA alkaline batteries. Internal and external variants are available, with selected external models offering IP55 protection on the reader side, allowing the solution to be adapted to different building and door requirements.
