The Suprema BioStation 2 is a high-performance outdoor fingerprint access control and time-attendance terminal designed for organizations that require fast biometric authentication, flexible credential support and large-scale user management. It features a 500 dpi fingerprint sensor, supports Live Fingerprint Detection, and uses Suprema’s advanced matching technology to deliver reliable identification even in high-traffic environments. BioStation 2 supports up to 500,000 users, up to 20,000 fingerprint credentials for 1:N identification, and up to 500,000 fingerprint, card or PIN credentials for 1:1 authentication. Depending on the model, it supports technologies such as MIFARE, MIFARE Plus, DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3, FeliCa, iCLASS SE/SR/Seos, HID Prox and EM, with NFC support available on applicable models. The BioStation 2 is built for reliable operation in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. Its IP65-rated enclosure protects against dust and water, while a 2.8-inch colour TFT display, multi-colour LED indicators, 16-bit audio feedback and tamper detection provide a professional user experience. Connectivity options include 10/100 Ethernet, RS-485, OSDP V2, Wiegand input/output, USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi on supported models, giving system integrators flexibility when connecting the terminal to access control networks. BioStation 2 can store up to 3 million event logs, supports fingerprint templates in Suprema, ISO 19794-2 and ANSI-378 formats, and includes a dedicated cryptographic chip for stronger protection of security credentials and system data.
