CAME 500E

The CAME 500E-S / 500 E Single Tripod Turnstile is a compact, bi-directional waist-height pedestrian access gate designed for offices, commercial buildings, gyms, schools, leisure facilities, staff entrances and other sites requiring controlled pedestrian flow. The turnstile is available in electromechanical or optional motor-driven configurations, with either fixed arms or an anti-panic/drop-arm system. Its body and tripod arms are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel with an orbital brushed matt finish, while AISI 316 stainless steel or painted finishes can be specified for particular environments. CAME equips the 500 E with visual status indicators, configurable operating modes and dry-contact inputs/outputs for connection to third-party access-control systems. Optional RS232, RS485 and TCP/IP communication modules and an integrated Wi-Fi module provide additional management possibilities. The unit is designed for indoor or outdoor use, continuous 24/7 operation, 110/220 VAC power and temperatures from approximately -20°C to +68°C, extendable to around -50°C with a heater. CAME specifies approximately 30 passages/minute in manual/electromechanical operation or 25 passages/minute in motor-driven operation, with higher maximum cycle rates depending on configuration. During a power failure, fixed-arm versions permit free rotation while drop-arm versions release the horizontal arm to provide an emergency passage. The related CAME 500 ED / 500E-D is the double tripod version, designed to create two independently controlled pedestrian lanes within one integrated assembly. It retains the 500 E family’s AISI 304 stainless-steel construction, optional AISI 316 finish, configurable operating modes, status indication, third-party dry-contact access-control compatibility and optional RS232, RS485 and TCP/IP communications. Because it operates two passage mechanisms, the 500 ED increases overall throughput: CAME specifies approximately 60 passages per minute in manual/electromechanical configuration and around 50 passages per minute in motor-driven operation, with maximum cycle ratings of approximately 164 and 150 cycles/minute respectively. The 500 ED weighs around 46 kg, compared with approximately 29 kg for the single 500 E, and maintains the same 110/220 VAC supply, 24/7 duty and -20°C to +68°C operating-temperature range. It also supports emergency free/free operation, with alternative emergency configurations available, making it suitable for reception areas and entrances where two standard pedestrian lanes are required in a compact footprint.
