CAME GARD 4

The CAME GARD 4 automatic road barrier is designed for heavy-duty vehicle-access control at car parks, residential communities, commercial properties, offices, hotels and industrial entrances. It supports a maximum net passage width of approximately 3.75 m and uses a 24 V DC gearmotor, with encoder-equipped versions available for intensive operation. Depending on the specific GARD 4 variant, the barrier operates from 230 V AC or 120 V AC input while the motor remains 24 V DC; CAME specifies IP54 protection, approximately 300 W power, an adjustable 90° opening time of about 2–6 seconds, and operation from roughly -20°C to +55°C. Key features include a galvanized painted-steel cabinet with stainless-steel variants available, a built-in LED flashing light, provision for photocells directly in the cabinet, boom protection against shearing during movement, accessories for boom safety release after an impact, and paired or alternate operation on supported versions. Selected GARD 4 models also support CAME CONNECT for remote digital management through a gateway and local configuration using CAME KEY, making the system suitable for modern automated parking and vehicle-access projects. The broader CAME GARD family allows VEGA Digital to select the correct barrier according to the required driveway width and usage level. GARD 3 is the compact heavy-duty option for passages up to approximately 2.75 m, using a 24 V DC encoder gearmotor, integrated LED flashing light, built-in photocell provision and boom-safety accessories. GARD 4 increases the clear passage to about 3.75 m and is suitable for most standard car-park entrances. GARD 8 supports passages up to approximately 7.6 m and is designed for larger residential, commercial and industrial driveways; it retains the 24 V DC architecture, galvanized or AISI 304 stainless-steel cabinet options, integrated LEDs, photocell accommodation and CONNECT capability on supported models. For very wide and demanding entrances, GARD 12 supports clear passages up to 12 m and uses two 24 V DC gearmotors mounted on the same axis to provide greater drive torque. The GARD 12 range uses modular counterweights, delivers approximately 600 Nm torque, opens in up to 10 seconds, has IP54 protection and is specifically intended for applications such as industrial plants, harbours, bridges, tunnels and other wide vehicle entrances.
