CAME SALOON

The CAME SALOON / SALOON40 motor-powered swing-leaf turnstile is a compact pedestrian-access solution designed for shopping centres, airports, railway stations, hospitals, offices and commercial environments where a wide, accessible passage is required. It uses a 24 V DC bidirectional motor, satin-finished aluminium structure and aluminium swing leaf, with an integrated luminous warning crown that indicates gate movement and operating status. SALOON can work with leaf lengths from 900 mm to 1200 mm, or customized leaves from approximately 600–1200 mm, and two units can operate in Master–Slave configuration to create passages up to approximately 2450 mm wide. CAME specifies a 90° maximum opening angle, opening time of around 1 second, up to 12 passages per minute, 120–230 VAC power supply, IP40 protection and an operating range of approximately -20°C to +55°C. The system also includes obstruction detection through an encoder, configurable slowdown at travel limits, a forcing-attempt buzzer and manual free-passage capability during power failure. SALOON is especially flexible for integration with access-control and automatic-opening systems. Its electronic control board includes buttons and a display for programming, and CAME provides provision for one or two microwave activation radars, modular crowd barriers and additional control boards. The system can internally manage up to 150 users with compatible CAME access-control devices and can also connect to third-party systems through clean/dry contacts for passage activation and open/closed position feedback. Accessories include the PSSL90 900 mm leaf, PSSL120 1200 mm leaf, PSSLC custom-length leaf, PSSA01 microwave radar, and coupler kits such as PSSA03 and PSSA04 for integration with modular pedestrian barriers. This makes SALOON suitable for standard controlled entrances, wheelchair-accessible lanes, reception areas and wider passages where a traditional tripod turnstile would be too restrictive.
