DaoSafe DS-Q50

The DaoSafe DS-Q50 Quantum Tripod Turnstile is a compact pedestrian access-control solution designed for corporate offices, commercial buildings, schools, factories, gyms, staff entrances and other controlled facilities where installation space is limited. DaoSafe lists the DS-Q50 at approximately 380 × 280 × 1000 mm, with a 550 mm passage width, 500 mm tripod arms and a flow rate of about 35 people per minute. The housing combines galvanized steel with black/white powder coating and tempered glass, while the arms are manufactured from 304 stainless steel. It supports single-direction or bidirectional operation, automatic reset if an authorized person does not enter within the configurable period, red/green LED passage indication and one-person-per-cycle operation to help reduce unauthorized following. The mechanism is rated at approximately 10 million cycles, operates internally at 24 VDC from 110/220 VAC, 50/60 Hz, consumes about 40 W, and is specified for approximately -20°C to +75°C operation. Standard protection is IP54, with IP65 and customized indoor/outdoor configurations available. A major advantage of the DS-Q50 is its flexible authentication and third-party access-control integration. DaoSafe states that it can work with RFID cards, QR/barcode readers, facial-recognition terminals, fingerprint devices, palm-vein readers, touchless buttons and remote controls, using dry contacts, relay signals or RS485 communication. This means the biometric terminal shown in a typical DS-Q50 configuration can be selected according to the project rather than being restricted to one credential technology. During a power failure, the tripod arms automatically drop to create a free passage, supporting emergency evacuation requirements. The unit also provides dedicated card-reader mounting space below the cabinet top, and DaoSafe allows customization of the cabinet dimensions, colours, logo and access-reader arrangement.
