Door Access Control System - COSEC VEGA

The Matrix COSEC VEGA Series is an advanced door access-control and time-attendance platform designed for organizations that need multiple authentication options, strong connectivity and centralized security management. The VEGA family can support fingerprint, RFID card, PIN and face-based authentication when integrated with compatible facial-recognition infrastructure. Matrix specifies support for up to approximately 50,000 users, while communication options on applicable models include 10/100 Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, USB and optional 3G/4G mobile broadband. Selected VEGA controllers also support PoE (IEEE 802.3af), external readers through RS-232, RS-485 or Wiegand, exit switches, lock relays and auxiliary inputs/outputs, allowing the terminal to function as an intelligent controller for complete single-door access installations. The COSEC VEGA range offers different models for different authentication requirements. COSEC VEGA FAX combines fingerprint authentication with RFID card and PIN credentials and supports optional facial recognition when used with compatible Matrix face-recognition equipment; it also provides Wi-Fi, BLE, PoE and external-reader connectivity. COSEC VEGA CAX is intended for applications centered on card and PIN authentication, with compatible face-recognition capability where required, but without the integrated fingerprint sensor. COSEC VEGA FOT combines fingerprint, RFID card and PIN authentication and uses a Suprema SFM5030 fingerprint sensor; it provides Ethernet and mobile-broadband connectivity but differs from the FAX/CAX architecture by not providing an external-reader interface or PoE. These variants allow organizations to standardize on the VEGA platform while selecting the appropriate biometric and credential technology for each access point.
