Overview
The UBio-X Slim is a high-performance fingerprint access control and time-attendance terminal designed for environments that require fast biometric identification, large user capacity and an elegant, space-saving design. Powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 processor with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB flash memory, it delivers fingerprint matching performance of up to 200,000 templates in under one second. The terminal features a 5-inch colour TFT touchscreen, a 500 dpi optical fingerprint sensor and patented fake-fingerprint detection technology to strengthen biometric security. It can support up to 500,000 users, approximately 200,000 fingerprint templates, up to 10 million event logs and around 50,000 image logs, making it suitable for large corporate, commercial and enterprise deployments. The UBio-X Slim also provides flexible credential and system-integration capabilities, allowing organizations to combine fingerprint authentication with RFID cards and other access methods. Depending on the selected configuration, it supports 13.56 MHz smart cards, 125 kHz EM, HID Prox and HID iCLASS credentials, while communication interfaces include TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485, Wiegand input/output, USB 2.0 OTG and optional Wi-Fi. The unit measures approximately 80 × 195.6 × 23.5 mm at the upper section, with a deeper lower biometric area, providing a slim appearance without compromising functionality. Current UNION Biometrics product information also identifies the UBio-X Slim as part of its fingerprint-recognition portfolio and lists UBio Alpeta as the compatible server-management solution, enabling centralized user, credential, device and access-control administration.
