Overview
The CEM Systems DIU 210 Door Interface Unit is a secure door-control interface designed for use with intelligent CEM readers where the lock-control electronics must be located on the protected side of the door. It supplies local power to the reader and door lock and communicates with the reader through a coded serial lock-control interface, reducing the risk of unauthorized lock activation from the unsecured side. The DIU 210 provides selectable 12 V or 24 V lock output, monitors standard door conditions, and includes dedicated inputs for fire alarm and break-glass emergency release. It also supports a backup-battery connection so the door can continue operating during a mains failure. Its single-board electronics and removable two-part connectors simplify installation, servicing and maintenance. The related DIU 230 Power over Ethernet Door Interface Unit provides a more advanced IP-based option by combining Ethernet communication and door/reader power over a single CAT5e/6 PoE+ cable. It can provide up to approximately 1.9 A at the door, enough for a complete door set and, depending on configuration, up to two magnetic locks. The DIU 230 includes dedicated fire-alarm, break-glass and tamper inputs, a Wiegand interface for a third-party exit reader, onboard battery backup and intelligent power management, making it particularly useful where local mains power at the door is difficult or expensive to provide. The more compact DIU 200 offers similar secure-side coded lock control using RS-485 communication, selectable 12/24 V lock output, fire and break-glass inputs, and tamper-resistant monitoring. It is intended for applications where a smaller interface module is preferred while maintaining secure communication between the CEM reader and door hardware. VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC provides CEM Systems DIU 210, DIU 230, DIU 200 and related AC2000 access-control solutions as a professional supplier and system integrator across Dubai, the UAE and the wider Middle East. VEGA Digital can integrate these door interface units with CEM intelligent readers, DCM controllers, electromagnetic locks, electric strikes, door contacts, request-to-exit buttons, emergency break-glass units, fire-alarm interfaces, PoE+ network infrastructure, backup batteries and AC2000 management servers. System-installation services include site survey, door-hardware assessment, secure-side DIU positioning, RS-485/Wiegand/Ethernet cabling, PoE+ design, 12/24 V lock configuration, emergency-release programming, battery-backup setup, reader/controller commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and future expansion. This enables VEGA Digital to deliver secure, tamper-resistant and scalable CEM access-control installations for commercial buildings, data centres, airports, hospitals, residential developments and other high-security projects throughout the Middle East.
