Overview
The Dahua ASGY5XXC-X Flap Barrier is a professional high-throughput pedestrian entrance-control system designed for corporate offices, commercial towers, hotels, banks, government buildings, universities, transport facilities and other controlled access points. It is built with a 1.2 mm SUS304 stainless-steel cabinet and uses a DC brushless servo motor rated for an MCBF of at least 5 million operating cycles, with an overall product life of at least 7 million cycles. Dahua equips the ASGY5XXC-X with 12 pairs of infrared detectors for accurate pedestrian monitoring, anti-squeeze protection and abnormal-passage detection. The standard acrylic flap arrangement provides a 600 mm passage width, with throughput of approximately 20–60 persons per minute and unlocking/locking from around 0.5 seconds. The system supports four selectable security levels and nine combinations of entry/exit modes, including controlled, prohibited and free passage. Additional functions include configurable opening/closing speed, passage time and closing delay, mechanical and infrared anti-squeeze protection, second authentication, memorized passage, and sound/light alarms for events such as intrusion, tailgating, reverse intrusion, prolonged presence, abnormal unlocking, jumping over the barrier, barrier faults and infrared detector faults. During a fire emergency, the barrier can remain open to support evacuation. The unit carries IPX4 protection, IK06/IK08 vandal-resistance ratings, operates from approximately -25°C to +70°C, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The ASGY5XXC-X also provides strong electronic integration capability for modern access-control projects. It includes an embedded processor, built-in card verification, one RJ45 network port, RS-232 and RS-485 communication, and capacity for up to 100,000 users, 100,000 cards and 100,000 access records. Status lighting clearly indicates operation: blue for standby, flashing red for abnormal conditions, solid green after authentication and flashing green when passage is permitted. Card-reading distance is approximately 0–5 cm, while power consumption is around 10 W in standby and up to 130 W during operation. The barrier measures approximately 1400 × 280 × 980 mm, with a standard barrier height of around 776 mm. Compared with Dahua’s lighter flap-barrier families, the ASGY5XXC-X provides a thicker stainless-steel cabinet, more infrared detector pairs, faster approximately 0.5-second operation and higher durability, making it particularly suitable for projects where high pedestrian volume, anti-tailgating protection and continuous integration with enterprise access-control systems are priorities. Dahua’s current turnstile catalogue positions the ASGY5XXC-X as its higher-performance professional flap barrier, with 12 IR detector pairs, 20–60-person/minute throughput and indoor/outdoor capability. For VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC’s Dahua integration projects across Dubai, the UAE and the wider Middle East, the ASGY5XXC-X can be delivered as part of a complete pedestrian entrance-management solution rather than as a standalone gate. Installation can begin with site survey, pedestrian-flow and accessibility assessment, lane positioning and cable-route planning, followed by floor preparation, precision anchoring, 24 VDC power provision, Cat6/network cabling, RS-232/RS-485 integration, controller wiring, card-reader installation, IR-detector calibration and fire-alarm/emergency-release interfacing. VEGA Digital can integrate the flap barrier with Dahua RFID/IC readers, facial-recognition terminals, fingerprint devices, QR visitor credentials, employee attendance systems, visitor-management platforms and centralized Dahua security software, while multiple units can be synchronized for multi-lane entrances. Final commissioning can include servo-motor and flap alignment, anti-tailgating and anti-squeeze testing, security-level configuration, passage-mode programming, reader authorization, network and event-record validation, fire-emergency opening tests and operator training, delivering a complete Dahua ASGY5XXC-X pedestrian access-control solution for offices, hotels, banks, transport facilities, universities and premium commercial developments throughout the Middle East.
