Overview
The Hanwha Vision CGR-3210B1 is a professional 32-channel Cloud Gateway Recorder designed to combine reliable local CCTV recording with Hanwha Vision’s cloud-connected surveillance architecture. It can connect Hanwha IP cameras—and supported third-party cameras that do not have their own cloud connector—to Hanwha OnCloud, while simultaneously maintaining local recording at up to 250 Mbps. The recorder supports 32 channels, four 3.5-inch SATA hard drives with up to 16 TB per drive / 64 TB total storage, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, embedded Linux, DDR4 memory, front and rear USB connectivity, and an industrial black-metal chassis. Hanwha lists the platform as NDAA compliant with certifications including CE, FCC and UL. This makes the CGR-3210B1 suitable for commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, warehouses, schools, retail environments and multisite businesses requiring a combination of on-premise recording and cloud-managed access. VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC, as a SIRA-approved CCTV/security solutions provider in Dubai and Hanwha Vision supplier and system integrator, can design and deploy the CGR-3210B1 as part of complete CCTV, network, storage and monitoring systems. For SIRA-regulated projects, however, the CGR-3210B1 itself should only be called “SIRA Approved” if that exact recorder model, firmware and channel configuration appear in SIRA’s current Recorder & VMS Approval Record. The expanded Hanwha recording/server portfolio allows VEGA Digital to scale from compact gateways to enterprise recording clusters. The CGR-1610 is the smaller 16-channel Cloud Gateway Recorder, supporting approximately 150 Mbps recording, two SATA drives and up to 32 TB total storage, while retaining dual Gigabit networking and embedded Linux. The PRP-104 Series is an enterprise 1U, 4-bay recording server supporting up to 512 channels, pre-installed Wisenet SSM VMS, Intel Xeon Silver processing, up to 80 TB storage, Windows Server 2022 IoT, RAID 0/1/5/6/10, iDRAC Enterprise and redundant power. The PRO-7511B4 is a dedicated 360-channel SSM recording server providing up to 700 Mbps recording bandwidth, Intel Xeon processing, ECC memory and RAID 0/1/5/6. For larger enterprise systems, the PRO-208 Series supports up to 128 channels and 96 TB, while PRO-212 supports up to 256 channels and 240 TB; PRO-212X keeps the 256-channel/240 TB platform but adds dual Xeon Silver processors. The PRO-224 Series scales to 512 channels and 480 TB with a single Xeon Silver CPU, while PRO-224X uses dual Xeon Silver processors for heavier enterprise workloads; both provide Wisenet SSM, RAID, redundant power and iDRAC Enterprise. The PRO-108 Series provides a compact 1U/8-bay enterprise platform with up to 61.44 TB storage, Windows Server 2022 IoT, RAID and redundant power. For system installation and SIRA-oriented deployment, VEGA Digital first calculates the number of cameras, resolutions, frame rates, bitrates, required retention period, RAID level, usable storage, network bandwidth, simultaneous playback requirements, redundancy and future expansion. The CGR-3210B1 is installed in a secure equipment rack or CCTV/server room, fitted with compatible surveillance hard disks, connected through redundant or managed Gigabit CCTV networking, and configured for local recording plus Hanwha OnCloud connectivity where required. Larger projects can use PRP/PRO recording servers with Wisenet SSM, RAID-protected storage, redundant power supplies and enterprise network/fibre infrastructure; server selection is based on channel count, throughput, storage and failover requirements rather than camera count alone. VEGA Digital then configures camera registration, users and permissions, recording schedules, event rules, time synchronization, cybersecurity, storage health monitoring, remote access, VMS clients and backup/failover procedures, followed by load testing, recording/playback verification, retention calculations, HDD/RAID tests, network-failure and power-failure testing, and final as-built documentation.
