The HID® Amico™ Biometric Facial Recognition Reader is an advanced contactless access control solution designed to provide fast, secure and convenient identity verification for modern workplaces and high-traffic facilities. It uses dual 1080p Full HD cameras with visible-light and infrared imaging together with Paravision-powered facial recognition technology to deliver accurate biometric authentication. HID Amico is available with either a 3.5-inch or 7-inch colour capacitive touchscreen, while the 7-inch version also includes a built-in SIP intercom. The reader supports multiple authentication methods including face recognition, physical credentials, HID Mobile Access and digital wallets, QR codes and PIN, allowing these methods to be combined for multi-factor authentication. The HID Amico platform is designed with security, privacy and scalability in mind. It can support up to 200,000 users, store approximately 200,000 event records, and provide facial recognition for 10,000 users as standard, expandable to as many as 100,000 faces with the appropriate licence or model. Security features include face liveness detection and anti-spoofing protection, helping reduce the risk of unauthorized authentication using photographs, videos or other presentation attacks. An optional Template on Card capability allows biometric information to be stored securely on the individual user’s credential rather than in a centralized biometric database, providing an additional privacy-oriented deployment option.
