The Hikvision DS-K3G530LX Pro Tripod Turnstile is a slim, motor-driven pedestrian access barrier designed for controlled entrances in corporate buildings, commercial facilities, factories, schools, gyms, transport terminals, tourist attractions, staff areas and other medium-to-high traffic locations. Its brushless motor is engineered for smooth movement and extended service life, while Hikvision’s current specification lists an MCBF of at least 10 million operations. The turnstile uses a standard 550 mm passage lane, supports approximately 30–60 persons per minute, and is built predominantly from 1.5 mm SUS304 stainless steel, with 1.2 mm stainless-steel tripod arms. It supports both indoor and outdoor deployment with an IPX4 protection rating and an operating temperature range of approximately -20 °C to +65 °C. The motor-driven mechanism improves passage comfort and provides enhanced anti-tailgating and pedestrian-counting behavior. The LX version is especially useful where the project already has a separate access-control system: it does not include the network access controller, but provides two exit-button interfaces and a fire-alarm input, allowing third-party or Hikvision access controllers, face terminals, card readers or other authentication devices to trigger the turnstile. It includes 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, two lock-control outputs, two exit-button inputs, two alarm outputs, four RS-485 ports, two RS-232 ports, two Wiegand interfaces, a fire-alarm input and case inputs, allowing readers and other access-control peripherals to be connected directly to the turnstile system. The built-in controller supports up to 500,000 cards and 500,000 events, TCP/IP and ISAPI communication, PC and mobile-web configuration, audio prompts and compatible EM, M1 or DESFire card technologies depending on the selected model. It maintains the 550 mm lane and approximately 30–60 persons-per-minute passage rate and uses a brushless motor with a rated MCBF of at least 5 million operations in the current DS-K3G530X specification. The newer DS-K3G530X/Modular builds on this platform with a modular, plug-and-play architecture, enabling required peripherals to be selected separately rather than fixing the turnstile to one authentication configuration. It supports optional face recognition, as well as project configurations based on card and QR-code authentication, while retaining the integrated controller, 500,000-card/500,000-event capacity, Ethernet, RS-485, RS-232, Wiegand and fire-alarm connectivity. The DS-K3G530 pedestal is positioned on a firm finished concrete surface, accurately aligned with adjacent turnstiles or side barriers and securely anchored according to the approved layout. Dedicated mains power and ELV/data cables are routed separately; for the DS-K3G530LX, VEGA Digital connects the selected external Hikvision controller, card reader, face-recognition terminal, QR reader or third-party controller through the available control interface, while the DS-K3G530X can directly accommodate networked access-control peripherals through its Ethernet, RS-485, RS-232 and Wiegand interfaces. Final commissioning includes repeated tests of card/face/QR authentication, unauthorized entry, anti-tailgating behavior, passage counting, tripod-arm operation, emergency release, network communication and fire-alarm activation, followed by operator training and project handover.
