Overview
The Hikvision DS-K6BC402TX Smart Value Swing Gate is an advanced pedestrian access-control solution designed for corporate offices, hospitals, commercial buildings, government facilities, hotels, schools and other controlled-entry environments. It combines a built-in face-recognition module and access-control board with dual 2 MP lenses, WDR, face anti-spoofing and a recognition distance of up to 2 metres, with Hikvision specifying recognition in under 200 ms and accuracy above 99%. Authentication can be configured using face, card and QR code, including multi-factor authentication, while the system provides 100,000-person/face capacity, 200,000-card capacity, wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi, PC and mobile-web configuration, Hik-Connect support and multiple RS-485, RS-232, Wiegand, USB and alarm interfaces. Two arrays of dToF safety sensors detect pedestrians and obstacles around the lane, while the brushless motor is rated for at least 5 million operating cycles. The gate supports lane widths from approximately 550 to 1400 mm, SUS304 stainless-steel construction, status and authentication indicators, and automatic opening through fire-alarm linkage for emergency evacuation. VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC, as an organized Hikvision solution partner and system integrator across Dubai, can incorporate the DS-K6BC402TX into complete access-control, visitor-management, CCTV and centralized security solutions. The DS-K6BC402LX and DS-K6BC402X provide alternative configurations within the same Hikvision swing-barrier family. The DS-K6BC402LX is primarily a lane-control version with two dToF sensor arrays, a quiet brushless motor, flexible 550–1400 mm lane widths, fire-alarm emergency opening, SUS304 stainless-steel construction and approximately 30–60 persons-per-minute passage capability; its access-control board is optional, making it suitable where an external controller, card reader, QR reader or face terminal will manage authentication. The DS-K6BC402X, by comparison, includes the access-control board and supports PC web configuration, Hik-Connect, card authentication, QR-code integration, multi-factor authentication, anti-passback and first-person-in functions. It provides capacity for up to 500,000 cards and 500,000 events, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connectivity, RS-485, RS-232, Wiegand, USB, alarm and fire-alarm interfaces, along with two dToF sensor arrays and the same flexible 550–1400 mm lane-width range. Hikvision specifies throughput of around 30–60 persons per minute, with actual performance dependent on user movement and authentication method. This allows VEGA Digital to select the TX model for integrated face recognition, the X model for integrated networked access control, or the LX model where the project requires a more flexible external-reader/controller architecture. For system installation, VEGA Digital begins with a site survey covering entrance width, number of lanes, pedestrian flow, accessibility requirements, barrier-wing size, floor condition, power supply, network cabling, fire-alarm interface and the required authentication technology. The swing-gate pedestals are then accurately positioned and securely fixed to the prepared concrete base, with separate power and low-voltage/data cabling routed to the equipment; Hikvision’s installation guidance also calls for suitable Ethernet cabling and proper interconnecting wiring between pedestals. Depending on the selected model, VEGA Digital can connect face-recognition terminals, EM/M1 card readers, QR scanners, exit devices, fire-alarm contacts and the Hikvision management platform, then configure users, credentials, access schedules, lane direction, anti-passback, alarm rules and emergency-release operation. Final commissioning includes dToF safety-zone testing, obstruction and anti-pinch checks, authorized and unauthorized passage tests, fire-alarm release tests, network and software verification, user training and complete handover—providing a professionally integrated Hikvision DS-K6BC402 Series access-control solution across Dubai.
