TiSO SWEEPER-WP

The TiSO SWEEPER-WP is a weather-resistant pedestrian speed gate engineered for outdoor entrances and locations exposed to rain, dust, humidity, heat and changing weather conditions, making it suitable for corporate campuses, hotels, commercial developments, government facilities, transport environments, swimming-pool areas and other external access points. Unlike standard indoor speed gates, SWEEPER-WP provides IP54 environmental protection, allowing external installation without a conventional protective enclosure when site conditions meet TiSO requirements. It is available with 550 mm and 900 mm passage widths; TiSO specifies opening/closing times of approximately 0.3 seconds for the 550 mm lane and 0.6 seconds for the 900 mm lane, with controlled throughput of about 40 and 30 persons per minute respectively, and free-flow capacity up to approximately 60 persons per minute. The system uses TiSO’s BMDrive® BLDC servo mechanism and incorporates anti-tailgating detection, bidirectional operation, access-control integration, manual control and a high-precision sensor system capable of recognizing pedestrians carrying luggage or trolleys. TiSO also notes that preventive cleaning is important in areas with significant dust and sand, particularly relevant to Middle East outdoor installations. SWEEPER-WP combines outdoor durability with the architectural features of TiSO’s premium Sweeper family. The cabinet incorporates LED access-status lighting, RFIDLights® and DotLights® reader/status indications, while EdgeLights® can illuminate the glass housing to show standby, authorized and denied passage conditions. The integrated controller includes an OLED display and configuration buttons, enabling setup and diagnostics without specialized programming equipment, while BMDrive® provides self-diagnostics and digitally controlled leaf force and speed for safer pedestrian movement. During power failure the leaves can be opened manually in fail-safe mode, and an optional supercapacitor can provide an automatic emergency opening; fire-alarm integration can also release the lane for evacuation. TiSO offers optional heating for climates below approximately −10°C and cooling for environments above +40°C, along with wind-resistant leaves, audible alarms, touch-free exit buttons, pass counters, custom branding and remote-control options. For applications requiring taller physical protection, the related SWEEPER-WP-HG retains the weather-resistant IP54 architecture while using glass barriers up to approximately 1800 mm high, combined with BMDrive® and ToothLock® technology.
