Gunnebo GlasStile S

The Gunnebo GlasStile S is a premium motorized single-glass-leaf entrance gate designed for indoor applications such as corporate receptions, banks, government facilities, universities, leisure centres and other locations where security must be combined with a low visual impact and elegant architectural appearance. The system uses a slim 304-grade grained stainless-steel column with a 10 mm clear toughened frameless glass leaf and smooth motorized operation for left- or right-hand passage. Gunnebo supports bi-directional entry/exit, configurable glass heights from approximately 960 mm up to 1800 mm, and wide-lane arrangements; in tandem configuration, the clear passage can extend to approximately 2 metres, making the gate suitable for wheelchairs, deliveries and wider visitor traffic. An LED status light on the column provides intuitive guidance—blue for awaiting authorization, green for authorized passage and red for no passage—while the gate closes after a confirmed passage rather than only relying on a timeout. Standard GlasStile S is rated for approximately 1 million cycles, IP20 indoor protection and up to around 20 persons per minute with proximity/hands-free readers. The expanded GlasStile S Range also includes GlasStile S Detect, which retains the same stainless-steel-and-glass architectural style but adds advanced Time-of-Flight (ToF) detection technology for passage counting, tailgating detection, obstruction monitoring and fraud detection. A discreet sensor module at the top of the column monitors pedestrian movement without increasing the gate footprint, while an optional radar sensor can provide controlled free-exit functionality. Both GlasStile S and GlasStile S Detect support reader integration, remote control, fail-safe operation, LED signal lighting, bi-directional passage and tandem arrangements, with glass heights up to 1800 mm and wide-lane options. In the event of a power failure or fire-alarm input, the gate can enter fail-safe unlocked mode, allowing the glass leaf to move freely for emergency evacuation. This makes the standard GlasStile S suitable for elegant controlled access, while GlasStile S Detect is more appropriate where additional monitoring, people counting and anti-tailgating functionality are required.
