GUNNEBO SpeedStile FL Bike

The Gunnebo SpeedStile FL Bike is a dedicated high-security speed gate developed specifically for cyclists who need to pass through a controlled entrance without dismounting from their bicycle. It combines Gunnebo’s SpeedStile architecture with an integrated bike-detection plate/induction-loop system that distinguishes bicycles and scooters and coordinates the glass-wing movement to reduce collision risk. Gunnebo specifies 36 pairs of optical sensors, including two horizontal optical detection lanes for low objects, with algorithms that identify misuse or fraudulent passage attempts. The system also provides wheelchair detection, high-transparency glass construction, an external-tooth brake mechanism for robust locking, and an exceptionally high MCBF rating of approximately 30 million cycles. Gunnebo offers the platform in both SpeedStile FL Bike indoor and SpeedStile FL Bike Outdoor configurations. The outdoor version is designed for full external installation without requiring a protective roof and retains bicycle detection and access-control functionality in exposed environments. Gunnebo also offers optional heavy-duty wings for improved vandal resistance, integration with third-party access-control devices, and an advanced optional RFID Bike ID + Personal ID concept: the cyclist’s credential and the bicycle’s RFID identity can be paired so passage is permitted only when both are validated, although Gunnebo notes that this requires third-party integration.
