GUNNEBO SpeedStile FL Outdoor

The Gunnebo SpeedStile FL Outdoor is a premium outdoor pedestrian speed gate designed for corporate campuses, government facilities, public plazas, universities, transport areas and other controlled external entrances where both security and architectural appearance are important. Unlike conventional indoor speed gates, it is specifically engineered for fully exposed outdoor installation without the need for a protective roof, with an IP53-rated enclosure and swing-gate technology designed for harsh outdoor conditions. The system uses a Magnetic Direct Drive motor with an external-tooth brake, offers an exceptional MCBF rating of approximately 30 million cycles, and uses 36 pairs of infrared sensors to monitor pedestrian movement and detect tailgating, wrong-way passage and other misuse. Gunnebo specifies a standard clear passage of around 650 mm, expandable up to approximately 1050 mm, with barrier heights from around 1400 mm up to 1800 mm. Additional functions include wheelchair detection, two horizontal optical detection lanes for low objects, optional heavy-duty wings, climb-on detection, push-through emergency functionality, illuminated wings and emergency power backup. The SpeedStile FL Outdoor combines 10 mm tempered-glass barrier panels, 6 mm tempered-glass side infill panels and brushed stainless-steel covers and top lids, giving the system a durable but transparent architectural appearance with minimal visual obstruction. Gunnebo offers both G models with rounded fronts and R models with square fronts, allowing the gate style to be matched to the surrounding architecture. The system can continuously process up to approximately 40 people per minute, depending on authentication method and site conditions, while its fraud-detection algorithms identify unauthorized passage attempts and generate appropriate alarms. Emergency mode can automatically open the gate in the exit direction, and optional accessories include flush-mounted RFID-reader brackets, badging lights, Way Mode indicators, illuminated wings, WAV audio modules, hinge capping, alternative finishes, mounting bases and backup power. These capabilities make the SpeedStile FL Outdoor suitable for controlled pedestrian entrances where conventional indoor gates would not provide the required environmental protection or durability.
