Overview
The Hanwha Vision XRN-3220B4 is a high-performance 32-channel enterprise network video recorder (NVR) designed for large CCTV installations requiring high recording throughput, extensive storage, AI-assisted search and strong cybersecurity. Powered by a 12th-generation Intel processor, it supports up to 32 network cameras, camera resolutions up to 32 MP, H.265/H.264/MJPEG streams and a maximum recording bandwidth of approximately 520 Mbps. The recorder provides 16 SATA HDD bays with up to 160 TB published storage capacity, hot-swappable drives and RAID 5/6 protection, together with iSCSI external storage support, N+1 failover, dual-monitor output, dynamic layouts and Virtual Channel View. When integrated with compatible Hanwha AI cameras it can provide intelligent BestShot and attribute searches for people, faces, vehicles and licence plates, while event management supports camera analytics, alarms, video loss, PTZ presets, e-mail, push notifications and other automated actions. An integrated TPM security module strengthens protection of system credentials and trusted operation, while SUNAPI and ONVIF provide integration with Hanwha and third-party surveillance platforms. VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC, as a SIRA-approved CCTV/security solutions provider in Dubai and Hanwha Vision supplier and system integrator across the UAE, can design, supply and commission XRN-3220B4-based surveillance systems. The wider Hanwha Vision XRN, QRN and PRN recorder family allows VEGA Digital to scale systems according to camera count, storage and redundancy requirements. The XRN-6420B4 expands the platform to 64 channels, retaining approximately 520 Mbps recording bandwidth, 160 TB SATA capacity, RAID 5/6, TPM security, Dynamic Layout and Virtual Channel View, while the XRN-6420DB4 provides the same 64-channel class with dual AC power inputs for improved resilience in mission-critical installations. The XRN-3220B2 / XRN-3220RB2 and XRN-6420B2 / XRN-6420RB2 are also 12th-generation Intel-based X-Series NVRs; the 32-channel XRN-3220RB2, for example, supports 520 Mbps recording, up to 80 TB SATA storage and RAID 5/6, while the B2/RB2 family is suited to projects requiring fewer HDD bays than the B4 platforms. Smaller installations can use models such as XRN-426S-1T, XRN-815S, QRN-830S, QRN-1630S, QRN-430S and XRN-420S, which form Hanwha’s compact NVR range for branch offices, shops, villas and smaller commercial sites. The earlier PRN-1600B2, PRN-3200B2, PRN-3200B4 and PRN-6400B4 remain important AI-NVR platforms: PRN-1600B2 supports 16 channels / 250 Mbps, PRN-3200B2 and PRN-3200B4 support 32 channels / 400 Mbps, and PRN-6400B4 supports 64 channels / 400 Mbps, with the B4 models providing up to 16 hot-swappable SATA bays and RAID 5/6. For SIRA-regulated Dubai systems, however, approval of one Hanwha NVR or VMS does not automatically approve another model, so each XRN, QRN or PRN model must be checked individually against the current SIRA recorder/VMS list before being described as SIRA Approved. For system installation and SIRA-oriented deployment, VEGA Digital first calculates the total camera count, camera resolutions and frame rates, aggregate recording bitrate, required retention period, RAID overhead, usable storage, AI-search requirements, playback load, network throughput, failover design and future expansion. The XRN-3220B4 is installed in a secure, temperature-controlled CCTV rack with enterprise surveillance HDDs, UPS protection and properly sized managed network infrastructure; RAID 5 or RAID 6 is configured according to the required balance between usable storage and disk-failure protection, while dedicated CCTV VLANs and fibre uplinks are used for larger networks. Engineers configure H.265/WiseStream recording, continuous/event schedules, pre/post recording, camera analytics, BestShot/attribute search, PTZ control, user permissions, HTTPS security, NTP synchronization, storage monitoring, RAID alerts, iSCSI, N+1 failover and remote SSM/Wisenet Viewer access.
