Overview
The Hanwha Vision XRP-4210B4 is a professional 72-channel SSM recording server/NVR appliance designed for enterprise CCTV systems in commercial towers, hotels, hospitals, airports, warehouses, campuses, industrial facilities and centralized security control rooms. It comes with Hanwha Vision SSM preinstalled, supports network cameras from CIF up to 32 MP, and provides up to 400 Mbps recording bandwidth and approximately 150 Mbps playback/search bandwidth. The server can handle 72 cameras as standard and up to 132 channels through server clustering, while supporting H.265, H.264, MJPEG and WiseStream streams, simultaneous playback, event recording, ARB backup and Active-Active/Active-Standby redundancy. Storage architecture includes 16 hot-swappable 3.5-inch enterprise HDD bays, two storage volumes and RAID 1/5/6/10/50, with the current Hanwha specification listing support for compatible drives up to 10 TB per bay. Hardware includes an Intel Core i7-8700T processor, 16 GB RAM, an M.2 system SSD, three Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, two HDMI outputs and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC. It also supports intelligent events including face, appearance, face-mask and vehicle triggers, ANPR/BestShot events, PTZ control, fisheye dewarping, secure HTTPS access and up to 1,024 remote users. VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC, as a SIRA-approved CCTV/security solutions provider in Dubai and Hanwha Vision solution supplier and system integrator across the Middle East, can design and deploy the XRP-4210B4 within complete camera, recording, storage, network and control-room solutions. For Dubai projects, however, the XRP-4210B4 should only be called individually SIRA Approved when the exact recorder hardware, SSM software version and approved channel configuration are confirmed in SIRA’s current Recorder & VMS record. The related Hanwha Vision XRP-4310DB4 expands the same SSM server architecture to 128 channels, or up to 132 channels through clustering, while maintaining up to 400 Mbps recording bandwidth and 150 Mbps playback/search bandwidth. It provides 16 hot-swappable enterprise HDD bays, RAID 1/5/6/10/50, two HDMI outputs, three Gigabit Ethernet ports and importantly dual/redundant power supplies, making it more appropriate for mission-critical CCTV environments requiring greater channel capacity and resilience. The PRP-4000H8 is a 72-channel SSM recording server built around an Intel Xeon 3.6 GHz processor, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, SSM, an 8-bay storage architecture, RAID 0/1/5/6, hot-swap support, Dual Track recording, Active-Active failover, server clustering and simultaneous all-channel monitoring/playback. The larger PRP-5000H16 increases capacity to 128 channels and 16 HDD bays, while retaining Xeon processing, RAID 0/1/5/6, hot-swappable storage, SSM, server clustering and Active-Active failover; it additionally provides dual SMPS/redundant power, making it suitable for larger enterprise recording installations. From the SIRA perspective, the important distinction is that SSM itself is currently represented in SIRA’s Recorder & VMS record: the March 31, 2026 list includes Hanwha Vision SSM version 2.17, unlimited channels, certificate SIRA/2025/1/08035.For system installation and SIRA-oriented deployment, VEGA Digital first calculates the required number of cameras, individual resolutions and frame rates, aggregate recording bitrate, playback demand, retention period, HDD capacity, RAID overhead, failover requirements, operator load and future expansion. The XRP-4210B4 is installed in a temperature-controlled CCTV/server rack with approved enterprise surveillance drives and protected UPS power; RAID is configured according to the required balance of usable capacity and fault tolerance, while separate CCTV, server and management VLANs are created on managed switches with fibre uplinks where necessary. Projects requiring more than 72 channels can move to XRP-4310DB4 or PRP-5000H16, while multiple SSM recording servers can be clustered for larger deployments. VEGA Digital then configures camera registration, H.265/WiseStream profiles, SSM users and permissions, recording schedules, events, AI metadata, ANPR/BestShot handling, NTP synchronization, storage monitoring, RAID alerts, ARB/failover, secure HTTPS access, backup policies and control-room client workstations.
