Overview
The Hanwha Vision XWV-3010 is a high-performance SSM surveillance workstation designed for professional security control rooms, command centres, commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, campuses, industrial facilities and other enterprise CCTV environments where operators need to monitor and investigate large numbers of cameras simultaneously. The workstation supports up to 256 network-camera channels for live viewing and playback, works with Wisenet and ONVIF cameras, and is designed around the Wisenet SSM Console Client. Hanwha documentation identifies an Intel Core i7-11700 processor, NVIDIA T600 graphics, up to four mini DisplayPort outputs and ultra-high-resolution multi-monitor operation, making the system suitable for video walls and multi-screen operator desks. Hanwha also specifies support for camera resolutions up to 12 MP, multiple screen layouts up to very high split counts, and simultaneous operation across as many as four displays. Recording itself is handled through the associated SSM server/recording architecture, rather than the workstation acting as a standalone NVR. VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC, as a SIRA-approved CCTV/security solutions provider in Dubai and Hanwha Vision solution supplier and system integrator across the UAE, can integrate the XWV-3010 into complete enterprise CCTV monitoring and control-room solutions. The XWV-3010 is particularly useful in larger Hanwha Vision deployments because it separates operator viewing and investigation functions from recording-server workloads. The workstation can display live and recorded video from large camera estates, provide multi-screen layouts, support simultaneous playback and search, and connect to SSM recording servers such as Hanwha’s PRO-series platforms. Hanwha’s product information describes support for up to four local display outputs, including multiple 4K/5K display configurations, Gigabit Ethernet networking, USB connectivity and Windows-based SSM operation. From the SIRA perspective, the important distinction is that XWV-3010 itself is not a camera and should not be advertised as a “SIRA Approved CCTV Camera.” SIRA’s Recorder & VMS Approval Record lists Hanwha Techwin SSM as an approved VMS platform; the March 31, 2026 record shows SSM version 2.10.9 with unlimited channels under certificate SIRA/2021/1/03091, while the December 2025 record also shows a later SSM version 2.10.13 entry. For system installation and SIRA-oriented deployment, VEGA Digital first determines the total camera count, required live-view layouts, number and resolution of operator monitors, playback/search requirements, network bandwidth, recording-server architecture, redundancy, storage retention and user-access structure. The XWV-3010 workstation is then installed in the CCTV control room and connected through the dedicated surveillance LAN/VLAN to the Hanwha Vision SSM recording servers, cameras and storage infrastructure. Multi-monitor outputs are configured according to the operator desk or video-wall requirement, while SSM users, roles, camera groups, maps, layouts, alarms, events, playback permissions and cybersecurity settings are applied according to the approved system design. VEGA Digital then performs camera-stream testing, simultaneous live-view and playback testing, monitor-resolution verification, network-load checks, alarm/event validation, user-access testing, failover and UPS tests, and complete as-built documentation.
