HIKVISION DS-K1801

The HIKVISION DS-K1801 Value Series Card Reader is a compact and cost-effective access-control reader designed for offices, residential buildings, retail locations, warehouses, schools and other controlled-entry applications. The reader family supports Wiegand 26/34 communication, a built-in audible buzzer, LED status indication, and a durable PC+ABS housing with IP65 protection for indoor or protected outdoor use. Card-reading distance is up to approximately 50 mm, depending on credential and installation conditions, and the readers operate from 12 VDC with low power consumption. The DS-K1801 Series supports either 125 kHz EM proximity cards or 13.56 MHz MIFARE/M1 smart cards, while keypad versions also allow card + password/PIN authentication. The operating temperature range is approximately -20°C to +65°C, making the reader suitable for everyday commercial access-control deployments. The DS-K1801 family is available in four main models. DS-K1801E is the basic 125 kHz EM card reader, while DS-K1801EK adds a 12-key keypad (0–9, * and #) for PIN or card-plus-password authentication. DS-K1801M uses a 13.56 MHz MIFARE/M1 card reader without a keypad, and DS-K1801MK combines MIFARE/M1 credential support with the integrated numeric keypad. All four models use Wiegand W26/W34 communication, include a buzzer and status LED, operate from 12 VDC, and carry an IP65 environmental rating. This allows system designers to select between EM and MIFARE credentials and between card-only or card-plus-PIN authentication while maintaining a common Hikvision reader appearance and installation architecture.
