The HIKVISION DS-K1T801 Value Series Card Terminal is a compact standalone access-control terminal designed for offices, retail stores, warehouses, schools, residential properties and other small-to-medium security applications. The series uses a 32-bit processor and supports up to 3,000 card credentials, with authentication by card or card + password/PIN. It can operate independently without a dedicated controller, supports an exit button, and permanently retains stored data even after power loss. The DS-K1T801E version supports 125 kHz EM/ID proximity cards, while DS-K1T801M supports 13.56 MHz MIFARE/M1 smart cards. This simple architecture makes the K1T801 family suitable for cost-effective single-door installations where users need reliable card-and-PIN access without a more complex centralized controller. For projects requiring network connectivity and event storage, the closely related DS-K1T802 Series offers a more capable alternative.
