Overview
The CEM Systems DCM 400 Four-Door Intelligent Encrypted IP Controller is an enterprise-grade access controller designed to operate directly with the CEM AC2000 Access Control System v10.2 or later. It provides true four-door bidirectional access control and supports up to eight Wiegand or CEM-approved OSDP v2 readers in entry/exit configurations. The DCM 400 performs full local verification and access decisions even if communication with the AC2000 host is interrupted, maintaining an offline database of up to 500,000 cardholders and 80,000 offline events. Security is strengthened through TLS and AES encrypted host communications, digital certificates, hardware-based key storage and AES-128 secured OSDP v2 reader communication, helping protect against credential and Wiegand signal-cloning risks. Installation features include three onboard Ethernet ports, LCD status display, 12-character capacitive keypad, graphical wiring guidance, onboard LEDs, automatic 10.5–28 VDC supply detection, battery charging/changeover, optical tamper monitoring and a dedicated fire-relay interface. For smaller and complementary deployments, CEM provides the DCM 200 Intelligent Two-Door IP Controller, AC2000 RTC Ethernet Controller and Ethernet Communications Module (ECM). The DCM 200 manages two doors and up to four Wiegand or OSDP v2 readers, provides online/offline decision making, TLS 1.2 host encryption, secure onboard key storage, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and a dedicated fire input, and can optionally use high-power PoE to supply the controller, readers and connected door hardware from one Ethernet connection. The AC2000 RTC (Real Time Computer) is a software controller, rather than a physical door panel; it provides the communications layer between Ethernet-based CEM devices and the AC2000 central database, with a single RTC supporting up to 256 master readers/devices and retaining an offline database for additional resilience. The ECM Ethernet Communications Module is a serial-to-Ethernet converter that allows legacy or serial CEM equipment to communicate with AC2000 over the LAN; one ECM can connect a multidrop chain of up to 16 RS-485 CEM devices and provides a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet connection, making it particularly useful for migrations and mixed IP/serial installations. VEGA Digital IT Solutions LLC provides the CEM Systems DCM 400, DCM 200, AC2000 RTC, ECM and related AC2000 access-control infrastructure as a professional vendor and system integrator across Dubai and the UAE. VEGA Digital can design complete solutions incorporating Wiegand/OSDP readers, smart-card credentials, electromagnetic locks, electric strikes, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, emergency break-glass units, fire-alarm interfaces, turnstiles, gate barriers, backup batteries, power supplies, Ethernet infrastructure and AC2000 management servers. System-integration services include site survey, door and reader planning, controller sizing, panel installation, IP addressing, OSDP v2/Wiegand/RS-485 wiring, TLS-secured AC2000 communications, DCM offline-database configuration, RTC deployment, ECM serial-to-IP migration, lock and fire-interface programming, access-level configuration, testing, commissioning, operator training, troubleshooting and future expansion. This allows VEGA Digital to deliver a scalable CEM architecture ranging from a two-door DCM 200 installation to large four-door DCM 400 deployments and mixed Ethernet/RS-485 estates integrated through RTC and ECM infrastructure.
