The CEM Systems EIOC400 Ethernet Input Output Controller is an intelligent network-based I/O controller designed to integrate directly with the CEM AC2000 access control system, version 10.3 and later. It provides 16 general-purpose inputs and 8 programmable outputs, consisting of 4 normally-open/normally-closed relay outputs and 4 open-collector outputs, allowing the controller to monitor and operate a wide range of external security and building devices. The EIOC400 can be used for applications such as intruder alarm monitoring, PIR sensors, door and equipment status, heating, lighting, emergency signaling and other auxiliary control functions. Its flexible I/O mapping allows one input to operate one or several outputs, while multiple inputs can also control a common output. Input masking, configurable AC2000 alarms and output broadcasting provide additional flexibility for complex security automation and event-response requirements. The EIOC400 also provides strong network security and installer-friendly management features. It incorporates three 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports with an integral Layer-2 Ethernet switch, simplifying connection to the AC2000 network and allowing downstream IP equipment to share the network infrastructure. Host communication is protected using TLS and AES encryption, with digital certificates and hardware-based key storage using recognized cryptographic standards. The controller includes automatic power-supply detection, onboard battery charging and automatic battery switchover, along with a dedicated fire-relay interface that can remove power from controlled outputs during an emergency. For installation and maintenance, the EIOC400 provides a backlit LCD display, 12-character keypad, onboard status LEDs, graphical wiring overlay, web-based diagnostics, active optical enclosure tamper detection and optional external tamper input. Its lockable enclosure also includes removable-door access, conduit entry points and internal cable-management features to simplify professional installations.
