The WatchNET IP-DEC-08R4 is a compact 8-channel Smart 1U Network Video Decoder designed for control rooms, security desks, monitoring stations and distributed CCTV systems that require reliable decoding and display of multiple high-resolution IP camera streams. It supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG, with a maximum decoding capability of 8 × 1080p at 30 fps and support for cameras with resolutions up to 12 MP. Network capacity is rated at approximately 80 Mbps incoming, 80 Mbps recording and 60 Mbps outgoing bandwidth, while HDMI and VGA outputs provide up to 4K HDMI display resolution and configurable multi-screen layouts including 1, 4, 8 and 9-camera views. The IP-DEC-08R4 also includes intelligent processing capabilities: AI by Recorder provides 4-channel SMD Plus, while compatible AI cameras can provide face detection and recognition, perimeter protection, SMD Plus, people counting, stereo analysis and heat-map analytics. It supports up to 8 IP channels, with resolution options ranging from standard-definition formats through 4 MP, 5 MP, 6 MP, 8 MP and 12 MP cameras, while decoding capability automatically adjusts according to the resolution and whether onboard AI functions are enabled. Recording modes include continuous, motion-detection, intelligent-event and alarm recording, with instant, general, event, tag and smart playback modes and playback of up to eight channels. A single SATA interface supports a hard drive of up to 20 TB, depending on operating conditions, and backup can be performed through USB or the network. The unit provides one HDMI output, one VGA output, RCA audio input/output, dual USB 2.0 interfaces and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection.
