WatchNET WAC-8D8TOS-PCB

The WatchNET WAC-8D8TOS-PCB is an advanced 8-door, 8-reader network access controller designed for large commercial, enterprise and high-security access-control installations. Built around a 32-bit ST ARM Cortex-M4 processor, it supports 10/100 Mbps TCP/IP communication and PoE+ up to 30 W, helping simplify controller deployment and network connectivity. One of its key advantages is simultaneous support for both Wiegand and OSDP readers, with compatibility for Wiegand formats from 24 to 72 bits. The controller provides 8 lock relay outputs, 8 supervised door-sensor inputs, 8 supervised exit-button inputs, 4 supervised auxiliary inputs and 2 auxiliary outputs. It supports approximately 100,000 cardholders, expandable to 250,000, and can store around 1,000,000 transaction records, expandable to 2,000,000 logs, making it suitable for facilities requiring high-capacity credential and event management. The WAC-8D8TOS-PCB also incorporates advanced security and operational features for demanding multi-door environments. It supports local and global anti-passback, lockdown functions, master-and-slave cards, multi-group card authentication, user PIN identification, double confirmation and multiple programmable door-status modes. The controller can operate in either standalone or networked mode and is compatible with WatchNET’s existing and PoE-series controllers, lift controllers and I/O controllers, enabling expansion into broader building-security systems. Additional features include an integrated backup-battery charger and battery monitoring, support for up to four OSDP reader buses, operation over distances of up to approximately 1,200 metres, and long-term memory retention for up to 20 years during power loss. Its wide operating temperature range of approximately -40°C to +70°C, together with CE, FCC and RoHS certifications, makes it suitable for professional security-control cabinets and infrastructure environments.
